A Legacy of Opportunity: Nixon Medical Announces the Inaugural Berstein Family Scholarship Winner
July 28, 2025 by Nixon MedicalNew Castle, Delaware, July 28, 2025 – Nixon Medical is proud to announce the first recipient of the newly launched Berstein Family Scholarship Program: Ariana Gonzalez-Cuveas, child of a Nixon Medical Associate, Mirella Gonzalez and a standout student recognized for her academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement.
Established earlier this year, the Berstein Family Scholarship supports the educational goals of associates’ children, reinforcing Nixon Medical’s mission to grow and create opportunities that enrich each other’s lives. The scholarship is made possible through the Berstein Family Fund and administered by Scholarship America®.
Scholarship recipients receive $2,000 to assist with tuition at an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school. This year’s recipient, Ariana, stood out among applicants for her impressive accomplishments and inspiring commitment to making a difference.
“We launched this program to invest not only in our associates but in their families’ futures,” said Dan Berstein. “We’re honored to recognize Ariana as the first recipient of this scholarship and look forward to supporting her continued success.”
Eligible applicants include the dependent children of full-time Nixon Medical associates employed for at least one year. Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, leadership, work experience, financial need, and personal circumstances.
Ariana will begin her first year at the University of Delaware this fall, where she plans to study Finance and International Business. As the founder and secretary of her school’s International Student Union, Ariana has shown strong leadership and a deep commitment to fostering cultural awareness and inclusion. She aspires to a career in corporate banking and is particularly interested in how culture shapes personal and professional experiences.
The Berstein Family Scholarship reflects the values of the Berstein family.
